This year marks the 62nd year of the St. Paul Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt. With a clue being given out each day of the day hunt competition is getting fierce. With just 2 days remaining people will most likely brave the storm to get their hands on that beloved medallion. The grand prize for returning the medallion to the Pioneer Press is $10,000. In order to obtain this full prize you do need to have a 2016 registered St. Paul Winter Carnival Button registered button before the event took place, a printed or clipped daily clues from the Pioneer Press, and of course the medallion itself. The good news for all that did not get registered in time, you are still eligible to receive a $5,000 prize for finding the medallion and presenting the clues. This beloved tradition is something that proves that this community is able to have comradery even in the face of competition. It is often thought of as some of peoples happiest memories for both the winners and general participants. So get out there and enjoy this Minnesota weather and we hope to see you out there searching
