We saw a striking lack of inventory in the housing market. This means that we have been seeing quite the sellers market that has not faltered all year and shows no immediate sign of slowing in the near future. Starter homes saw the biggest degree of inventory decrease of nearly 11 percent from last years numbers.
Projections and estimates say that this trend may continue but at a slower pace this next year and possible shift into a buyers market around 2018. Estimates are not always accurate however and with the new president elect coming into office these models could see some shifting around, but with what we see at this moment it looks like they might stay on course for the near future.
