For the past 5 years the Red Bull Crashed Ice been held in St. Paul. Starting from the Cathedral of Saint Paul and descending down 12 stories and it's 500m track. This year however is the season finale of the event meaning that our own Minnesota native Cameron Naasz could bring home the victory right in his home territory. Currently he is in first place with 2,785.0 points with Scott Croxall of Canada right behind him with 2,735.0 points.

Its still a close race between those two which means it is still up in the air, but we hope that our great state can band together and show him our support in order to finally allow him to bring home a victory for us northern folks. The last event on January 29th and 30th resulted in Cameron sadly falling down during the last run of the course in Finland. While the defeat was sad he still maintains a point lead so the world championship is still within sight.

His competition is none other than Scott Croxall who is also the younger brother of Kyle Croxall who was the 2012 World Champion. who still competes with him to this day. With just 25 days until the Crashed Ice Finale we only need to worry about the weather playing nice with the ice conditions because we all know that we always have a showing that would make any competitor proud to see. Lets hope that we see Cameron take home the victory for us and bring a great end to this year's games.
